In celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, UnityPoint Health – Marshalltown Medical Park is offering walk-in mammograms throughout the month of October.
Women can complete their yearly mammogram without an appointment between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday in October at 55 Central Iowa Dr. in Marshalltown. Call (641) 754-5076 with any questions.
A yearly mammogram is recommended for every woman over age 40 and offers the best chance for early detection and prevention of breast cancer. UnityPoint Health – Marshalltown also offers 3D mammography, which combines multiple images taken at different angles to provide fine details of the breast that are sometimes hidden by traditional mammogram techniques.
