UnityPoint Health believes in making the best work environments possible for our over 30,000 team members in Iowa, Wisconsin and Illinois. Now, that work is being recognized by Becker’s Healthcare. The publication has identified UnityPoint Health as one of 150 Top Places to Work in Healthcare. The list features hospitals, health systems and health care companies from around the nation that promote diversity in the workplace, employee engagement and professional growth.
“At UnityPoint Health, we know our team members each deal with stressful jobs, homes and lives. But, we identify that connecting to one another with compassion and empathy is crucial for our culture and our patient experience,” Kevin Vermeer, UnityPoint Health President and CEO says.
UnityPoint Health and others on the list were selected because of priorities around promoting from within, encouraging professional development, offering unique wellness and personal benefits to promote positive work-life blend, and prioritizing employee recognition programs.
“Our organization is pretty amazing, and that’s a direct reflection of the team members who serve here. They make UnityPoint Health what is it today and I’m excited to see how we build the future, together.” Emily Porter, Senior Vice President, Talent and Marketing Communications Officer says.
Specifically, Becker’s identifies UnityPoint Health for our wellness rewards programs, free wellness coaching and support of continued employee learning through physician leadership, executive leadership and management academies. UnityPoint Health is also identified as achieving excellence in information technology.
Becker’s selected the organizations on the list due to a combination of nominations and editorial research, but no payment. This list has been published since 2011.
