UnityPoint Health – Marshalltown Foundation is accepting reservations for its annual Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon on Thursday, October 4, at Elmwood Country Club.
A short presentation by Julie Gleason with the UnityPoint Health – Waterloo Cancer Center on What’s New in Fighting Cancer will be followed by featured speaker and local survivor Trish Crosser who will be sharing her personal story. The meal is sponsored by JBS.
Proceeds from the event go to the Foundation’s Prevent Fund to support free mammograms for men and women who cannot afford them. Two free mammo clinics are held each year at the UnityPoint Health- Marshalltown Medical Park.
