Working as a nurse at Allen Hospital began a desire in my heart to further my education and become a nurse practitioner. I admired the level of knowledge and expertise that was modeled, coupled with a high level of compassion to serve others.
What makes my day most fulfilling is personally connecting and having a relationship with my patients. I hope that when they visit with me, they walk away knowing that they are cared for and seen as an individual.
A perfect day off work would include spending quality time with my little ones at home and my husband. Extra bonus if I get to enjoy coffee with friends!
What I think is unique about our team is that we have a large team of very skilled and knowledgeable providers, who work together very cohesively to provide excellent care to the Cedar Valley and surrounding communities. We have different specialties and focus's within the practice, so our office serves as a "one stop shop" for a variety of cardiac and vascular needs.
My first position in Cardiology was as a Nurse Practitioner with Cedar Valley Cardiology.
I have been a Cardiology provider for 2 years.
Prior to working as a provider in cardiology, I worked for 6 years on the inpatient cardiac floor as Allen Hospital. A love for the specialty grew during that time. I also admired the group of cardiologist that practice at Allen, which was a driving factor in pursuing a career along side them.
My current position as a provider is where I started my career. Since starting, I have now begun traveling to clinic Marshalltown. That has been a great experience! It was been wonderful getting to know such a resilient community, and serving their cardiac needs. I am excited to see how my career in cardiology will continue to grow!
