It can cost you money if you don’t review your Medicare Part D drug coverage annually. In just one hour, a SHIIP (Senior Health Insurance Information Program) counselor can complete a review and tell you if you can save money and ensure you have access to the medications you need.
SHIIP is a free, confidential service of the State of Iowa Insurance Division. Its counselors are available across the state to help answer your Medicare questions (due to COVID-19, all consultations will be by phone).
The local SHIIP office is located at UnityPoint Health – Marshalltown. Call (641) 754-5399 to schedule your telephone appointment today. You’ll be able to enroll in or change your Part D plan for 2021 between October 15 and December 7 of this year.
SHIIP counselors in Iowa have been saving people money on Part D costs for 28 years. In fact, they helped Iowans save more than $34 million last year.
