Marshalltown, IA – Jennifer Havens, CEO of Grundy County Memorial Hospital (GCMH) has been appointed Interim CEO of UnityPoint Health Marshalltown effective May 1, 2017. On May 15, Ms. Havens will transition into a dual role as Vice President of Operations of UnityPoint Health – Marshalltown and CEO of Grundy County Memorial Hospital. Dustin Wright has been named President of UnityPoint Health – Marshalltown and will begin his new role on May 15, 2017. Dustin is currently the CEO of Community Memorial Hospital in Sumner, Iowa.
Ms. Havens has been a member of the GCMH senior leadership team since 2008 and was named CEO in March 2015. Jennifer came to GCMH after serving as the Brain Tumor Coordinator at St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis, TN for 18 years and two years as the Neuroscience Administrator at LeBonheur Children’s Medical Center. Jennifer has been honored as one of Iowa’s Top 100 nurses and is actively involved in the Iowa Organization of Nurse Leaders. She is a graduate of Jackson College, Miami, is a registered nurse and received her Master’s in Health Administration from Des Moines University.
Mr. Wright comes to Marshalltown from Community Memorial Hospital in Sumner, Iowa where he was CEO. Community Memorial Hospital is an affiliate of UnityPoint Health – Waterloo serving Bremer, Fayette and Chickasaw counties in Iowa. Prior to joining Community Memorial Hospital as president and CEO in June 2015, he held numerous healthcare positions including Director of Clinic Operations and Director of Senior Care/Ancillary Services both with Sanford Health. Before Sanford Health, he completed a two year Administrative Fellowship at University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison, Wisconsin.
He is a graduate of the University of Iowa’s Tippie College of Business and earned his Master’s in Healthcare Administration from University of Missouri. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and is eligible for fellow status May 2017.
