Central Iowa Healthcare will once again have local Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) counselors available at the hospital and at the CIH clinic in Toledo during Medicare Part D's open enrollment period from October 15 to December 7. Counselors will be available to help review current plans and will help local citizens find the best drug plan for them and their budget. Last year, SHIIP counselors in Iowa helped Iowans save more than $15 million in prescription costs.
SHIIP can help you
ü Check your current Part D or Medicare Advantage plan to make sure your drugs are covered at the lowest cost and with the least amount of restrictions
ü Review your employer drug coverage and compare to other Medicare options
ü Check to see if you are eligible for Part D Extra Help
ü Understand your options if you do not currently have a drug plan
SHIIP is a free, confidential service of the State of Iowa Insurance Division. To make an appointment with local counselors, please call (641) 754-5399.
