South Campus Consolidation & Expansion

It's time to get excited!

Since we arrived, UnityPoint Health – Marshalltown has been on a journey to redesign the healthcare services that are needed and supported in Marshalltown. We’ve made a commitment to remain in the community.

That's why we're thrilled to announce our $38.4 million consolidation and expansion of our South Campus (Medical Park) is on track to be finished in 2022!

This campus transformation project will include moving the services at the hospital downtown (North Campus) to an expanded facility at South Campus. Planning is underway, and our virtual groundbreaking event is on August 31, 2020, as construction begins with our partner Graham Construction.

The expansion is expected to add 65,000 square feet to the South Campus, bringing its total to 137,000 square feet. As we've stated previously, we do not anticipate closing any services for the foreseeable future. With regard to the construction, we're using a competitive bidding process and working with local contractors and construction workers wherever possible.

This is a significant enhancement and investment for the Marshalltown community. UnityPoint Health is committed to the health and well-being of this community, and we’re proud to offer quality, local health care. Now more than ever, we need the support of our community to keep healthcare local in Marshalltown from laboratory testing, to physical therapy to urgent care.
