UnityPoint Health – Marshalltown has selected a construction company and architecture firm for its planned expansion of South Campus (Medical Park).
Graham Construction, based in Des Moines, and INVISION Architecture, located in Des Moines and Waterloo, were selected from three finalists in on-site interviews held Monday. In all, UnityPoint Health – Marshalltown solicited Request for Proposals from 15 companies before selecting three for its on-site interviews.
Graham Construction and INVISION have experience working together and an extensive history of work in the healthcare world. Graham has done work in 52 Iowa hospitals, while INVISION does 60% of its work in healthcare.
“We’re excited for the opportunity to partner with these two companies,” said UnityPoint Health – Marshalltown President Jenni Friedly. “Each has a wealth of experience with healthcare-related projects, and we can’t wait to get started!”
The design phase of the $38.4 million expansion project begins next week. It’s a project that will add 65,000 square feet to the existing facility, as UnityPoint Health – Marshalltown consolidates all its services in the expanded space. Construction is planned to start this summer.
