To reduce community spread of COVID-19, we're asking all patients to please call ahead before visiting a clinic. Patients and visitors who are over age 2 and able to tolerate a mask or face covering, should do so if entering a UnityPoint Health facility.
Also, you can see a doctor anytime, anywhere from a computer, smartphone or tablet with UnityPoint Health Virtual Care. The cost of an Urgent Care visit is $39 or less, depending on your insurance. This service provides treatment for conditions like sinus infections, rashes, urinary tract infections, allergies and other illnesses. If your provider writes a prescription, it's automatically sent to the pharmacy of your choice. Start a Virtual Visit

Urgent care is best used when your primary care physician is not available, but it should not be used for routine medical services that can be provided by your doctor's office or for any type of follow-up care. Remember to always attempt to contact your primary care physician before accessing urgent care services.
For less serious medical issues, such as physicals, medication refills or to leave a message for your primary care doctor, you can access your My UnityPoint patient portal 24/7! Visit My UnityPoint
Checking in online before your visit gives you an estimated time of when you can be seen, based on patient volume. This can result in less time spent in the waiting room because you can arrive at the clinic closer to the time when a provider is available to see you. This also means you can spend more time relaxing in the comfort of your home instead of sitting in the waiting room.
You will get a text message at least 15 minutes (or longer if you choose) prior to when you should arrive at the clinic. You will be asked to confirm your reservation when you arrive.
Checking in online is meant to give an estimated time for when you can be seen and reduce the time spent in the waiting room at the clinic. You will still need to check in at our front desk when you arrive. This lets our staff know that you are at the clinic and ready to be seen. Please have insurance information with you.
The specific time you sign up for is only an estimate. Many factors affect when you will actually be seen including the number of patients in the clinic and the varying degrees of illnesses.
No. Walk-in patients are still welcome.
